The resort
Remisens Hotel Metropol stands on the hill of Sv. Lovrenc, looking over Portorož and Marina Portorož. RTV SLO describes it as a five-star hotel, refurbished in 2010.
Guests have a saltwater pool area by the sea, the Metropol Pool Lounge by the beach, an indoor pool and a wellness area. The Grand Salon buffet restaurant has views over Portorož, and the Lobby Bar is the place to unwind later.
Grand Casino Portorož, which RTV SLO calls the venue with the longest tradition in Slovenia, is part of the hotel complex.
